Four:Twenty’s latest signings are two Japanese ex pats who split their experience between basement club duties and rocking in front of 20000 in stadiums. As far as the music itself goes, Voices starts with a burbling 808 bassline with some madcap chattering adding a CVS feel before it descends into something more nutty and intense later on. It’s pure 3am headfuck territory and all the better for it.

3 years is more normal, opting for a metallic groove which propels the track forwards before some tinkling keys add drama and it falls back into something more haunting an ethereal all together. Manuel Tur turns in a typically melancholic deep house rerub for the remix, adding to a package that hints at enough promise for the signings and a selection of tracks that will prove compellingly useful for house and techno djs alike.
